Professional Experience

After receiving her Bachelor’s degree, Terri Fassi became a staff accountant with Ernst & Ernst in St. Louis, Missouri, where she was responsible for providing auditing services to government agencies and major corporations.  In 1980 she accepted the budget manager position at Pfizer Genetics.  Her responsibilities included forecasting expected expense and sales results and comparing them to actual numbers.

She owned a regional certified public accounting company in St. Louis, called P&W Group.  Here she provided tax planning and preparation services for both businesses and individuals.  She also handled accounting compilation and review services to small to mid-sized businesses and audit services for government agencies.

In 1994, Terri Fassi and her husband moved to Fort Collins, Colorado, where they began working for Fassi Financial Network.  Along with her professional team, Fassi works with clients in all 50 states and is licensed in Colorado, Wyoming, Washington, Texas, Ohio, Minnesota, Illinois, California, and Arkansas.  They offer personalized comprehensive financial planning strategies for wealth management, wealth transfers, wealth preservation, and wealth distribution.  Fassi also works with clients in matters pertaining to wealth accumulation, tax management, and income distribution.

Wealth management services include creating an investment policy statement, which is a document between the financial planner and client outlining general rules for the financial professional to follow.  It describes general investment objectives and goals, techniques the professional should utilize, and specific information on risk tolerance, asset allocation and liquidity requirements.  The wealth management team of this company allocates the client’s resources in accordance with this document and evaluates it on a consistent basis.

Wealth preservation assistance entails the use of tactical allocation techniques, tax planning which allows the client to preserve the majority of their income, and third party risk transfers.  Wealth distribution deals with evaluating tax implications and income needs to make sure that the client does not outlive their resources.  Wealth transfer services include evaluating estate tax implications, offering business continuation planning, and reviewing trusts, wills, and beneficiary designations.

As a certified divorce financial analyst, Terri Fassi works with individual clients and couples to help them come to terms with the financial and tax implications of their divorce.  She is able to measure the financial impact of dividing various assets and assists her clients in gaining an understanding of the short- and long-term effects.  This process saves divorcing couples money, time, and added stress, particularly when done in the early stages of the legal proceedings.
